What’s included in an appraisal?

Our appraisal includes information about the quality, quantity, and characteristics of gemstones. Beyond the gemstone’s qualities, we also assess the craftsmanship, overall condition, and weight of the entire piece.

After the assessment, you will receive a thorough description, a photo or photos of your object, and an estimated retail value.

Why do I need an appraisal?

Well, while our lifetime warranty covers any issues due to manufacturing, having insurance can protect you further. An appraisal ensures that if anything happens, your insurer will replace your item with something of equal value or give you cash for it. Without an appraisal, you might not get fair compensation for your item if you need to make a claim.

In case there is a loss, theft, or damage, having a detailed appraisal ensures that you can protect your ownership and receive the appropriate compensation. The more information included in your appraisal, the likelier you are to get a fair value for your item.

*For the most accurate valuation, we recommend appraising the entire jewelry piece rather than just the center gemstone—unless the metal has little to no significant value.
